We hit the ground running this week ready to start the planning process. We started the class talking about the Launch Party which will take place at O'Kelley''s Bar & Grille on February 20, 2020. The Launch Party is our first big event that kicks off the start of the Macker Season. The student in charge of the Launch Party, Chad Novak, and our Special Events TA, Kaitlyn Coons, led a class presentation showing us what they have planned so far for the Launch Party!
Our class is working hard on creating some awesome gift baskets for the Silent Auction, as well as, a 50/50 raffle that will benefit United Way! There will also be fun food and drink specials for everyone that purchases a wristband. Everyone in the class is in charge creating a gift basket for the Silent Auction and finding a local sponsor. Chad and Kaitlyn took the time to show us examples of gift baskets so we can create a variety of baskets that appeal to everyone that attends the Launch Party. As the planning continues, more information on the Launch Party will unfold. Stay tuned!
After Chad and Kaitlyn's presentation, the TA's broke off into their groups. Each group discussed the things that we, as a group, will work on for the rest of the semester. It was a great opportunity to ask questions and gain clarity on all of the information given to us. Like I said, we hit the ground running, and there was a lot of information given to us today that will propel us into preparing for this event. The class is ready to take on the semester and eager to begin the planning process! FIRE UP!
